Mi familia en Alemania/My Family in Germany

            Durante la semana santa en España, Kasey, Jessica y yo fuimos a Alemania, Austria y Suiza. Fue un viaje increíble. Originalmente, tuvimos un vuelo a 12:00 en el tarde el sábado, el 31 de Marzo, pero desafortunadamente, nuestra vuelo cambió muchas veces. Por lo tanto, en el viernes, nosotros necesitamos salir de Granada a las 10 en la noche.

            During the Holy Week in Spain, Kasey, Jessica and I went to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It was an incredible trip. Originally, we had a flight at 12:00 pm on Saturday, March 31st, but unfortunately, our flight changed many times. Therefore, on Friday, we needed to leave Granada at 10:00 at night.

            Nosotros pasamos la noche en el aeropuerto de Málaga y 7 horas en el aeropuerto de Barcelona el próximo día. Dormimos mucho – debido a que viajo mucho aquí, ahora tengo la capacidad dormir en lugares extraños. En realidad, el día fue muy bien y porque tuve la oportunidad relajar y escuchar a mi Ipod.

            We spent the night in the Malaga airport and 7 hours in the Barcelona airport the next day. We slept a lot – because I travel a lot here, I now have the ability to sleep in strange places. In reality, the day was very good because I had the opportunity to relax and listen to my Ipod.

            Cuando nosotros llegamos a Munich, mi pariente, Pauli, nos condujo a su casa en el pueblo de Pfarrkirchen. Me encanta su casa porque la arquitectura es muy bonita y diferente. Kasey, Jessica, y yo comimos lasaña con mi familia - Pauli, Sonja, Merit, Felix y su novia, Stefanie. También, nos conocimos a su perro, Balou, que tiene el mismo nombre de mi perro en los Estados Unidos. Me sentía muy contenta porque tuve la oportunidad ver mi familia. Después de la cena, nosotros fuimos a Volksfest con mi prima, Merit.

            When we arrived in Munich, my relative, Pauli, drove us to his house in Pfarrkirchen. I love his house because the architecture is very beautiful and different. Kasey, Jessica, and I ate lasagna with my family – Pauli, Sonja Merit, Felix, and his girlfriend, Stefanie. Also, we met their dog, Balou, who has the same name that my dog has in the United States. I felt very happy because I had the opportunity to see my family. After dinner, we went to Volksfest with my cousin, Merit.

            El próximo día, fuimos a un castillo en Burghausen y bebimos chocolate caliente en un restaurante con arte muy interesante. En la noche, mis amigas y yo cantamos con Merit mientras Felix tocó el piano y guitarra y cantó muy bien. ¡Comimos pizza y miramos una de mis películas favoritas, Avatar, en 3D en su casa!

            The next day, we went to a castle in Burghausen and drank hot chocolate in a restaurant with interesting art. At night, my friends and I sang with Merit while Felix placed the piano and guitar and sang really well. We at pizza and watched one of my favorite movies, Avatar, in 3D at their house!

            El lunes, comimos un desayuno perfecto con mi pariente, Alfred. Tengo suerte porque tuve la oportunidad conocer a él. ¡Después, fuimos a la casa donde mis ancestros, los Kramers vivieron! Ver la casa de mis ancestros con mis propios ojos era una experiencia muy emocional e importante a mí. Después, fuimos a Passau para ver una ciudad que asemeja Venecia. Fue una ciudad muy bonita. Comimos la cena en Austria y comí Schnitzel por la primera vez en mi vida. Luego, en su casa bonita, bebimos té y hablamos con Felix hasta 1:00 en la madrugada.

            Monday, we ate a perfect breakfast with my relative, Alfred. I am lucky because I had the opportunity to meet him. After, we went to a house where my ancestors, the Kramers, used to live. Seeing my ancestor’s house with my own eyes was a very emotional and important experience for me. After, we went to Passau to see the city that looks like Venice. It was a very beautiful city. We ate dinner in Austria and I ate Schnitzel for the first time in my life. Later, in their beautiful house, we drank tea and talked with Felix until 1:00 in the morning.

            El martes, visitamos mi pariente, Erna. ¡Fue otra oportunidad muy especial ver otro miembro de mi familia! Después, fuimos a un lago para ver los Alpes y miramos a los cisnes. Fue una escena muy espectacular. Fuimos a Munich después y mis amigos y yo dormimos en el coche mientras Felix condujo. Estamos muy relajados. Comí la mejor cena de mi vida en un restaurante en Munich esta noche.

            Tuesday, we visited my relative, Erna. It was another very special opportunity to see another member of my family! After, we went to a lake to see the Alps and we looked at the swans. It was a beautiful scene. We went to Munich after and my friends and I slept in the car while Felix drove. We were very relaxed. I ate the best dinner of my life in a restaurant in Munich that night.

            En Munich, nos conocimos al mejor amigo de Merit. ¡También, nos encontramos con mi amigo de la Universidad de Connecticut, Kevin! Subimos juntos a una torre para ver la ciudad. Pasamos por la ciudad por muchas horas con Pauli, la mejor guía de turismo. Después comimos otra cena magnífica.

            In Munich, we met Merit’s best friend. Also, we meet up with my friend from the University of Connecticut, Kevin! We climbed a tower together to see the city. We walked around the city for many house with Pauli, the best tour guide. After, we ate another magnificent dinner.

            El jueves, fuimos a la plaza olímpica y con mucha tristeza, Kasey, Jessica y yo embarcamos el tren a Zurich. Nuestra viaje a Alemania fue perfecta y me doy cuenta que tengo una familia muy agradable y generoso en Alemania. Voy a regresar a Alemania en el futuro por más tiempo y espero que ellos visiten los Estados Unidos.

            Thursday, we went to the Olympic Plaza and very sadly, Kasey, Jessica and I boarded the train to Zurich. Our trip to Germany was perfect and I realize that I have a very nice and generous family in Germany. I am going to return to Germany in the future for more time and I hope that they visit the United States.

            Cuando llegamos a Zurich, Kasey y yo comimos la comida China por la primera vez desde llegamos a Granada. Después, nos dimos cuenta que en Zurich, el próximo día fue Pascua, aunque es una fecha diferente en Zurich que en el resto del mundo.

            When we arrived in Zurich, Kasey and I ate Chinese food for the first time since we arrived in Granada. After, we realized that in Zurich, the next day was Easter, although it is on a different date in Zurich than it is in the rest of the world.

            Entonces, desafortunadamente, el próximo día, muchas tiendas fueron cerradas pero comimos fondue de queso y miramos la ciudad muy cara, pero preciosa. Este noche, dormimos por 11 horas – un descanso muy necesario.

            So, unfortunately, the next day, a lot of stores were closed but we ate cheese fondue and looked at the expensive, yet beautiful city. That night, we slept for 11 hours – a much needed rest.

            Nuestra viaje el próximo día a Granada fue muy bien. Kasey y yo leímos mientras que Jessica escribió sobre el viaje por 9 horas en el aeropuerto. En general, fue un viaje perfecto. 

            Our trip the next day to Granada was very good. Kasey and I read while Jessica wrote about the trip for 9 hours in the airport. In general, it was a perfect trip.
