La Alhambra

Esta semana, finalmente fuimos a La Alhambra.  Todo el semestre, todas las personas habían estado diciendo que necesitamos ver La Alhambra.  Muchas estaban sorprendidas que no la habíamos visto todavía.  Ahora, yo entiendo que es un sitio increíble.  Siempre la había visto la belleza desde fuera de varios sitios incluyendo la terraza en el piso de mi familia.  Dentro es muy preciosa también.  Entramos por la Puerta de la Justicia y vimos toda la ciudad de Granada desde arriba.  Vi las Sierras Nevadas, el Albaicín, el centro, y mucho más.  Vimos los palacios dentro de La Alhambra también, con techos bonitos, estanques, arquitectura de los árabes, y paredes con inscripciones.  Aprendí mucho con el guía y disfruté mucho la visita, pero deseo que tengamos más tiempo para ver todo, y con tiempo libre.

This week, we finally went to the Alhambra.  All semester, everyone had been saying that we need to see the Alhambra.  A lot of people were surprised that we still had not seen it.  Now, I understand that it’s an incredible site.  I always had seen the beauty from outside from various sites including the balcony in my family’s apartment.  Inside is pretty as well.  We entered through the Justice Door and saw all of the city of Granada from above.  I saw the Sierra Nevadas, the Albaicin, the center, and a lot more.  We saw the palaces inside of the Alhambra too, with pretty ceilings, ponds, Arabic architecture, and walls with inscriptions.  I learned a lot from the guide and enjoyed the visit a lot, but I wish that we had more time to see everything, and free time.
