Hoy fuimos a La Alhambra. Por fin! Me alegro mucho que finalmente fuimos a este sitio histórico y aprendí mucho con el guía. La Alhambra es un palacio, un castillo. Es el lugar donde vivían los reyes. Toda la decoración al dentro de La Alhambra es muy detallada y hermosa, porque los reyes tenían que impresionar a todos. Pienso que el guía dijo que el nombre “Alhambra” viene de la palabra árabe que significa “rojo”. También andamos por los jardines de Generalife, que son muy bonitos. Hacía buen tiempo y la gente de Granada y la Señora con quien vivo tienen razón: La Alhambra merece la pena. Es un lugar hisórico y hermoso que es una parte importante de la historia de Granada.
Today we went to the Alhambra. At last! I am very happy that we finally went to this historic site and I learned a lot with the tour guide. The Alhambra is a palace, a castle. It is a place where the kings lived. All of the decoration inside is very detailed and beautiful because the kings had to impress everyone. It hink that the guide said that the name “Alhambra” comes from the Arabic word that means “red”. We also walked through the gardens of Generalife, which are very pretty. It was really good weather and the people of Granada and my Señora are right: The Alhambra is worth it. It is a historic and beautiful place and it’s an important part of Granada’s history.
