Una excursión divertida

          El fin de semana pasado, algunas amigas y yo fuimos a una excursión arriba de La Alhambra.  Hacía muy buen tiempo ese día con el sol y el calor.  Primero, anduvimos casi dos millas desde nuestras casas a Plaza Nueva para encontrar otra amiga.  Después, anduvimos justo fuera de las paredes de La Alhambra y disfrutamos la belleza del paisaje.  Finalmente encontramos un sendero en una montaña pequeñita, y la subimos.  La vista desde arriba era muy bonita, pues decidimos parar por un rato para comer nuestros bocadillos que las señoras habían preparado para nosotros.  Después de almorzamos, subimos a otra montaña más grande.  Cuando llegamos a la cima, estuvimos en un área muy bonito se llama Parque Periurbano.  La vista aquí era increíble; pudimos ver toda la ciudad de Granada, La Alhambra, y otras montañas y campos.  Pasamos un rato allí tomando el sol, escuchando música, y disfrutando la vista.  Eventualmente bajamos la montaña y terminamos el día con gelato.  Fue un día divertidísimo y estoy seguro que vamos a tomar más excursiones así en el futuro.    

       

            This past weekend, some friends and I went on a hike above the Alhambra.  It was a nice temperature that day with the sun and heat.  First, we walked almost two miles from our houses to Plaza Nueva to meet another friend.  Later, we walked just outside the walls of the Alhambra and enjoyed the beauty of the scenery.  Finally we found a path on a small mountain, and we went up it.  The view from above was very pretty, so we decided to stop for a while to eat our sandwiches that our señoras had prepared for us.  After we ate lunch, we went up another, bigger mountain.  When we arrived at the peak, we were in a pretty area called Parque Periurbano.  The view here was incredible; we could see all of the city of Granada, the Alhambra, and other mountains and farms.  We spent some time there sunbathing, listening to music, and enjoying the view.  Eventually we went down the mountain and finished the day with gelato.  It was a very fun day and I’m sure that we’re going to go on more hikes like this in the future.
