La Primera Semana

Casi dos semanas han pasado desde llegué a Granada.  Al principio del viaje, estaba muy nervioso porque estaría en otro país por cuatro meses, fuera de mi familia, y viviendo con una familia nueva en un lugar nuevo.  Ahora, siento mucho más cómodo y me encantan Granada y España.  La cosa que me dio el más miedo antes de llegué era la familia nueva.  Sin embargo, vivo con una señora y su esposo, pero su hija y su marido vienen al piso frecuentemente también.  Ellos son increíblemente simpáticos y les gusta contarme muchas historias de la familia y de España.

He hecho muchos nuevos amigos aquí también.  Nosotros, con todo el grupo de UConn y otros estudiantes de Fordham, fuimos a la Costa Tropical el fin de semana pasado.  Fuimos a un castillo en Almuñécar para aprender un poquito de la historia, las cuevas de Nerja, y también una playa en Nerja.  La foto es la vista increíble del castillo en Almuñécar.  Pudimos ver el pueblo y el Mar Mediterráneo.

  

 

Almost two weeks have passed since I arrived in Granada.  At the beginning of the trip, I was really nervous because I would be in another country for four months, away from my family, and living with a new family in a new place.  Now, I feel much more comfortable, and I love Granada and Spain.  The thing that scared me the most before I arrived was the new family.  However, I live with a woman and her husband, but their daughter and her husband come to the apartment frequently too.  They are incredibly nice and they like to tell me a lot of stories about the family and history of Spain.

I have made a lot of new friends here too.  We, along with all of the group from UConn and other students from Fordham, went to the Tropical Coast last weekend.  We went to a castle in Almuñécar to learn a little about the history, the caves at Nerja, and also a beach in Nerja.  The photo is of the incredible view from the castle in Almuñécar.  We could see the town and the Mediterranean Sea.
