Comprensión de español

Me he dado cuenta de que mi comprensión de español es mucho mejor que cuando llegue en España.  Cuando llegue, pude entender mucho español, pero al mismo tiempo no pude entender mucho.  Durante el mes pasado, he escuchado mis profesores, la gente en la calle y tiendas, y la familia.  Cada día, mi familia me habla en español sobre varias cosas.  La señora es de Barcelona y frecuentemente me dice historias sobre la ciudad, su niñez, y su familia.  El señor siempre me dice historias de sus hijos o me da más información sobre lo que vemos en las noticias.  Cuando voy a tiendas, puedo entender la mayoría de los trabajadores ahora.  También, muchas veces el taxista hablará de algo, y antes no pude entender mucho, pero ahora yo puedo.  Ojalá que mi comprensión continúe a mejorar durante los meses siguientes.

I have realized that my comprehension of Spanish is much better than when I arrived in Spain.  When I arrived, I could understand a lot of Spanish, but at the same time I couldn’t understand a lot.  During the past month, I have listened to my professors, the people in the street and in stores, and my family.  Each day, my family speaks to me in Spanish about various things.  My señora is from Barcelona and frequently tells me stories about the city, her childhood, and her family.  My señor always tells me stories about his children and gives me more information about things that we see in the news.  When I go to stores, I can understand the majority of the workers now.  Also, many times the taxi drivers will talk about something, and before I couldn’t understand much, but now I can.  Hopefully my comprehension continues to improve during the following months.
